E-lesson about Levers in the human body
GEOGRAPHICAL AREA
Vointa Park
COUNTRY
Romania
INTRODUCTORY TEXT TO THE LESSON
“Give me a lever long enough and a place to stand and I will move the Earth”, Archimedes
The E-lesson presents an example of a lesson of acquiring knowledge from the nature, in this case from the human body, exemplifications about levers.
The learning objective:
- To find out information about history of levers
- To discover the lever exemplification: A lever is a simple machine that makes work easier for use. Many of our basic tools use levers, including scissors, pliers, hammer claws, nut crackers and tongs.
- To study the relationship between levers and human body: The operation of most skeletal muscles involves the use of leverage and lever systems, partnerships between the muscular and skeletal systems.
- To study Lever Systems: Bone - Muscle Relationships
- To find out information about the classes of levers and observe the application in the human body
