BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANISATION
Kaunas Community to support Waldorf education Saltinelis (“Wellspring”) was founded in 2002. Currently, community unites 85 members.
The main objectives are:
• To fully support the implementation of the Waldorf pedagogy ideas at Kaunas Waldorf kindergarten "Wellspring"
• To promote a society based on the principles of social ecology
• To support public cultural life and rights of parents to freely choose the child's education system;
• To create a learning environment that initiates curiosity of children, creativity, physical activity and a willingness to explore ideas arose on the basis of the model - the principle of example, to facilitate the free, creative child's personality development.
Each year community initiates and organizes trips to the selected Lithuanian green area (swamps, woods, forests, scenic routes, etc.), provides environmental monitoring.
HOW THE ORGANISATION WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE DISSEMINATION AND EXPLOITATION OF THE PROJECT RESULTS
Community members, including pedagogues and administrative personnel participate in different educational events, meetings with other pedagogues, communities, educational institutions members. Community members belong to various associations which spread ideas of education and its quality improvement.
Therefore, firstly, we will provide information about project in our website (http://www.saltinelis-vd.lt, community section), also will communicate about it for pedagogues, for educators, who work in schools, kindergartens. We will share ideas about project during seminars, conferences with pedagogues, also during projects we implement.
