BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANISATION
Centre for the Advancement of STEM Teaching & Learning (CASTeL), directed by Professor Eilish McLoughlin, is a multidisciplinary research team focussed on enhancing STEM education at all educational levels, supported by evidence-based research and contributing to international good practice. CASTeL members, comprising of scientists, mathematicians and educationalists from Dublin City University (DCU), lead and participate in formal and informal STEM education projects, nationally and internationally, which are focussed on STEM teaching, learning and assessment.
HOW THE ORGANISATION WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE DISSEMINATION AND EXPLOITATION OF THE PROJECT RESULTS
CASTeL researchers have coordinated two FP7 funded projects and partnered in several EU projects focussed in STEM education and has developed a wide network of teachers and schools both in Ireland and across Europe and will use these networks to disseminate project results.
