Title of the focus group:
The European project “E-Learning from Nature”
Date of the focus group:
27 October 2017
Place of the focus group:
Liège, Belgium
Description of the focus group:
The multiplier event took place at HELMo Sainte-Croix in Liège, on the 27th of October 2017. The audience (33 people) was mostly made up of HELMo science teachers and HELMo 2nd and 3rd year students, who are future science teachers. HELMo Sainte-Croix is an associate school in this project. It is the pedagogical section of HELMo and trains future teachers. Last year, five groups of 2nd year students (now in 3rd year) created one e-lesson each based on the area “Sainte-Croix Garden”, located behind the school, and addressing various aspects of ecosystems.

After a brief introduction by Santina Donatelli, coordinating teacher for the project in this school, Zlata Selak of Inforef briefly presented Inforef’s activities and its ongoing projects, finishing with E-Learning from Nature.

Then, Julien Keutgen of Inforef presented E-Learning from Nature in details: the project portal, its context and objectives, the international partnerships, the project in numbers, the Belgian associated schools, the Belgian geographical areas and e-lessons, and the teachers guidelines.
