INTRODUCTORY TEXT TO THE LESSON This lesson begins in the village of Romeu, inserted in a region belonging to the Natura 2000 network. Here a researcher in the field of Forestry and Natural Resources tells us about the importance of valuing and protecting the surrounding ecosystem. In this region, stands a cork oak forest covering about 4700 ha where we can find vegetation of various types as well as countless animal species such as wolfs, woodpeckers, eagles, insects that live on the bark of cork oaks, butterflies, etc.
