INTRODUCTORY TEXT TO THE LESSON The E-lesson presents the study of electrostatics in the oldest physics laboratory in Romania, the Prof. Dragomir Hurmuzescu, 1897, located in Iasi. Students visited the laboratory and found out about the history of the laboratory and had access to the first electrostatics machine built. Students were able to test the electrostatics phenomena and understand its principles.
The learning objective:
- To find out the history of the oldest physics laboratory in Romania
- To observe the equipment and electrostatics machines
- To components of electrostatics machines
- To study the electrostatics phenomena
- To experiment
- To apply electromagnetic concepts in real life (high speed trains)
