In Serra da Nogueira, several species of plants, like shrubs (Erica spp., Cistus ladanifer, Cytisus spp. Lavandula stoechas, Echinospartum ibericum) and endemic and rare species, exclusive of ultramafic rocks (Armeria eriophylla, Anthyllis sampaiana, Santolina semidentata) can be found.
