BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANISATION
Chemistry in Action!, a magazine for Irish chemistry has been produced from Limerick on the University campus since 1980 by Dr Peter E. Childs, FICI. Its publication has been supported by donations from Irish industries over the years, allowing it to be sent free of charge to all Irish chemistry teachers who request it. It is produced three times a year and is sent out to individual teachers in their schools.
Circulation is now around 700, including a number of free subscriptions to overseas recipients. Each issue usually contains 54 pages, and includes items of interest to chemistry and general science educators. The magazine will be produced in electronic format from the next issue.
