BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGANISATION
Associação Geoparque Terras de Cavaleirosis a non-profit private association, with the following mission: to contribute to the protection, enhancement and promotion of natural and cultural heritage, with special emphasis on geological heritage in a perspective of further development and dissemination of scientific knowledge, promoting tourism and sustainable development of the territory it covers.
HOW THE ORGANISATION WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE DISSEMINATION AND EXPLOITATION OF THE PROJECT RESULTS
This association presents a total of 16 educational programs designed to meet different levels of education. Educational programs are articulated with different curricula, from primary to secondary school education, enriching students’ learning in a recreational and scientific way and strengthening links between the territory and the local community. As it shares many of the objectives and activities included in the E-learning from Nature project, it is a privileged partner to promote and disseminate the project information within its visitors as well as to support the multimedia activities within study visits to its facilities.
